At Mindfulness Therapeutic Farm, our Farmyard Yoga program offers a peaceful and restorative wellness experience designed to promote mindfulness, relaxation, emotional grounding, and connection with nature. Set within the calming environment of our farm overlooking beautiful Lake Champlain in Alburgh, Vermont, Farmyard Yoga blends gentle movement, breathwork, stretching, and mindful awareness with the soothing presence of horses, farm animals, gardens, and open outdoor spaces. More than a traditional yoga class, Farmyard Yoga encourages participants to slow down, reconnect, and experience wellness in a natural and supportive setting. Through guided movement and mindful interaction with the farm environment, participants are offered an opportunity to nurture both physical and emotional well-being in a calm, nature-based atmosphere.

 

A Gentle & Personalized Experience

 

Every participant brings their own unique goals, comfort levels, and experiences. For this reason, Farmyard Yoga sessions are designed to be flexible, welcoming, and supportive for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities. No advanced yoga experience is required. Sessions may include gentle stretching, breathing exercises, grounding practices, guided mindfulness activities, balance work, relaxation techniques, and quiet reflection. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace while focusing on mindfulness, body awareness, and personal comfort within a peaceful outdoor environment. Our approach emphasizes encouragement, emotional safety, relaxation, and creating a positive experience where individuals feel comfortable reconnecting with themselves, nature, and the calming rhythm of the farm.

Our long-term vision includes the continued development of therapeutic and wellness-focused spaces including a zen sensory garden, meditation walking labyrinth, expanded gardens and fruit trees, wellness programming, and additional nature-based therapeutic experiences for the community.
